GERMAN ELECTIONS ACCENT XENOPHOBIA! “On a campaign poster, a liberal German political party claimed Chancellor Helmut Kohl's conservative political allies are so tough on immigrants that ‘if Jesus showed up in Germany today, he'd be deported.’ German election coming up September 27, and politicals are taking a harder line on immigration, and stricter rules for immigrants, responding to the April success of extreme nationalist, right-wing parties in the East (Berlin). The German People's Union won 13% of parliamentary seats in Saxony with their policies of expelling ‘foreign Bandits.’ 7 million foreigners live in Germany. Kohl's official party stance now is, according to campaign platform, the ‘Effective Stemming of Undesired Immigration.’" (Associated Press, July 10, 1998) What do the events that this article reports have to do with Bible prophecy? Well, as the angel said to John the Divine, "Come and see." (Rev 17 KJV) {1} And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven
vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show
unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many
waters:
{7} And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. We are studying Revelation 17, its five major symbols, and what they have to do with us today. These symbols include the Vile Woman, the infernal Monster she rides, its Seven Heads with its Ten Horns, and the Lamb's Faithful Ones. In addition, the identity of 666 in revealed. The Vile Woman
{1b} Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the
great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
The vision itself interprets what the Vile Woman symbolizes: {15} And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. This passage describes is the diversity of continental Europe. {18} And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. The Vile Woman is the city from which infernal powers
rule.
{4} And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, The Woman wears robes of royalty and conquest, and is made
rich from both.
{2} With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. {4b} having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: {5} And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Here is the connection with religion: "fornication" means idolatry. Rome forced the worship of a panoply of gods; foremost were the genius (demon) of the Emperor and the Invincible Sun. "Mystery" means "religion." "Babylon" means "confusion." {6} And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.  On the other side of the "XENOPHOBIA" article we find another
intriguing headline: 20th-century martyrs honored at Abbey. Unveiled at London’s Westminster Abbey were the
statues of men an women representing Christian martyrs of every
stripe and denomination, including St. Elizabeth of Russia (killed
by Communists in 1918), St. Maximilian of Poland (by Nazis in 1941),
Dietrich Bonhoeffer (by Nazis in 1945), Rev. M. L. King (by the U.S.
government in 1968), Pastor Wang Zhiming (by Chinese Communists in
1972) and Bishop Romero (by rebels in El Salvador in 1980). It
was more than coincidence to find on one side of the leaf a story
about the modern-day rise of Naziism and on the other a tribute to
the great martyrs of the Faith!
The Beast She Rides
{3} So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness:
and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured
beast,
The connotation here is sexual; bestially so. The beast
she "rides" is described in vs 9:
{9} And here is the mind which hath
wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman
sitteth.
Of
course, these are the seven hills of Rome, speaking not of the city,
but of the "land" -- the Roman Empire and its sphere of
influence.

{8} The beast that thou sawest was,
and is not; ... {8c} and they that dwell on the earth shall
wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the
foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is
not, and yet is.
There is a two-fold interpretation. First, the
Beast is an imitation of the One who was, and is, and is to come: a
false I AM / Almighty.
Second, concerning government, the Beast system is a secret
empire that, even when it may not seem to exist on the map, it
does
indeed exists in temporal and spiritual reality. The Roman
Empire has always existed, even though it has risen and fallen many
times, as we shall see.
{8b} and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into
perdition:
And here is the origin and destiny of the Beast.
("Perdition" means "destruction.")
The Seven Heads of the Beast
{10} And there are seven
kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come;
and when he cometh, he must continue a short
space.
Five kings had fallen by the time of John’s writing,
all horrible, demon-possessed men: Augustus (31 BC - AD
14) was poisoned
(Jesus was born during his
reign), Tiberius
(AD 14 - 37)
was smothered
(Jesus was crucified during his
reign), Caligula
(37 - 41)
was
assassinated
(he ordered his statue to be set up and
worshipped in the Jerusalem Temple),
Claudius
(41 - 54)
was poisoned,
(His wife, Valeria Messalina, was
notorious for her murders and adulteries, and was probably the model
for the Whore),
Nero
(54 - 66)
stabbed himself in the
head. John
had just lived through the reign of head number
five (dating the Revelation to about 69 AD
).
More about the god Nero: He renamed himself "Germanicus," identifying himself with Germany. His history of debauchery, depravity, simony and murder is well known. Nero is referred to in Rev 13:18 This calls for wisdom...six hundred sixty-six (in some versions, six hundred sixteen, often in a footnote). Latin scriptures (Vulgate) read "six hundred sixteen." As a boy reading this, I was always confused about the 666 / 616 dilemma -- which number was truly that of the Beast? Now I know that the answer is that BOTH numbers are that of the name of the Beast! in Hebrew and Greek the letters in Neron Caesar (“King Nero”) add up to 666; in Latin, there is no final "n" attached to “Nero”, so the sum is 50 short (‘N” being equal to “50”), adding up to 616. The translators and John thus knew exactly who 666 (in Greek)
and 616 (in Latin) was: NERO. More about Nero / 666 /
616:
13:{3a} One of its heads seemed to
have received a death-blow, but its mortal wound had been
healed.
The "head" receiving the death-blow was Nero. In 68,
with the Praetorian Guard
(which was composed of
Germans)
in pursuit, Nero committed suicide by stabbing himself
in the neck. There was a wide-spread rumor that he afterward
rose from the dead. Because of the intense persecution of
Christians and Jews conducted by both Nero and Domitian (the eight
head), Christians considered Emperor
Domitian to be Nero reincarnated.
In other words, Nero’s mortal head wound was healed in the
reign of his friend Domitian. Then after Nero,
One King is living, one King is to come: Vespasian (69 - 79) dealt with the Jewish revolt of 67 - 70 on Nero's behalf. He was called to Rome and left his son, Titus (Emperor 79 - 81), in charge of putting down the Jews, which he did with a vengeance. Remember Masada? Titus ("to remain a little while") put down the Jewish rebellion (culminating in the destruction of Jerusalem and its Temple) in 70 AD. His troops killed or enslaved 1.5 million people in the process. It is Titus that Jesus refers to when he prophesies "one stone will not be left upon another -- all will be thrown down!" {11} And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. The Eighth King is John's Beast, the reincarnation of Nero and the prototype for the final antichrist of our day. He is: Domitian (Caesar Domitianus Augustus) (81 - 96) (He "belongs to the seventh" in that he is the younger brother of Titus, son of Vespasian. Domitian was a paranoid maniac who ruthlessly put to death anyone whom he considered a rival.) So, the personification of the Beast is found in two men: Nero the German and his incarnation, Domitian. The Ten Horns of the Beast {12} And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which
have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as
kings one hour with the beast.
These are kings of the future -- yet they have come and gone several times, and are coming together again right now in Europe: {13} These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. "Ten" kings will rule together with the Beast for a very short time, lending their sovereign powers to his. This indicates unity. Ten is meant to mean a small number (not necessarily a literal "ten"). THE ROMAN EMPIRE THROUGH HISTORY The real power in Rome in the days of Nero was Germany. The elite corps of Praetorian guards - commanded (and feared) by the emperor - were German mercenaries. When they were not being served by the Emperor, they killed him (as in the case of Caligula and Nero). The last official emperor of Rome (West Empire) was
Romulus Augustulus, who abdicated under German pressure in 476 at the
age of 16. Odoacer, the leader of
German mercenaries in the Roman Army, became "King of Italy."
The imperial office was thus
secured by Germany without pretense.
To speak of Rome in prophecy is
to speak of Germany.
The German kingdoms, once Roman provinces, inherited the Empire through its takeover by German praetorian guards. The geography we know as France, Germany and Austria (plus satellites) continued to be known as "The Holy Roman Empire" (or by some variation) from December 25, 800 right on up to its (supposed) dissolution August 6, 1806. "The Holy Roman Empire," the thousand-year reign of Germans over Europe, became known as The First Reich. In 1870, "by blood and iron," Prussian Prince Otto von Bismarck (1815 - 1898) again brought unity to the 39 German states for war against France. Bismarck became the first chancellor of the new "German Empire" in 1871. Designed for military conquest, this Second Reich was short-lived. It came to an end when German Emperor William II ("Kaiser Caesar Wilhelm") escaped to Holland in 1918, his armies in defeat. With the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, WWI was finished, but the German Reich was not. Kaiser Wilhelm lived in seclusion the rest of his life, dying in 1941. He lived to see the resurgence of the Roman / German might, and was buried with full military honors by order of Adolf Hitler. Hitler asserted the Roman Empire's continuity by the military might of his Third Reich (1933 - 1945), ruling Europe for 12 years, exactly the same number as Nero. The "axis" of the Axis was the Rome / Berlin alliance. Although Hitler inflicted himself with a fatal head wound in 1945 (as Nero had), his Third Reich / Roman Empire is as alive today as it ever was (on television); we are in awe of the beast nightly on the History Channel! THE ROMAN EMPIRE NOW Fifty-three years have passed since what we perceive as the fall of the Third Reich. In 1990, the Germanys were liberated and reunified; the capital has just moved from Bonn (in the West) back to Berlin (in the East). And Europe is becoming a unified economic entity, with Germany once again at the helm of authority. A common currency, the Euro, started circulating January 1, 1999 (see Rev 13:17). The new Roman Empire is scheduled to be chartered such exactly 3 1/2 years later, July 1, 2002. In the European Union we again find "ten kings yielding their authority to the beast." Name any ten or so -- French president, German chancellor, Slovenian autocrat, English Monarch -- any ten will do. They yield their authority to the Last Roman Emperor, the Final Beast, who will move the capital city from Strassbourg (where it is now) to Rome (or Berlin -- if I too may prophesy). Since 1994, there has been much talk within the European community about the possibility of electing a single EU president. The president elect would have to have a great deal of charisma to entice some 250 million international voters. The next time such an election could take place is June 1999, when the European Parliament is elected, less than one year from this writing. (Update! This election has taken place; the President of the European Union is Romano Prodi. He has his own website!) This last Roman Emperor will ascend from the abyss of evil angels to reign sometime soon. As Nero was the prototype for Domitian in the days of John, Hitler will be the prototype for the Final Roman Emperor in our days. As Domitian became the healing of Nero's mortal head wound, the last Caesar will be the healing of Hitler's mortal head wound. And like Hitler's, the opening years of the Final Emperor's reign will be benevolent and unifying. But in a very short time, like Hitler, he and his Kings will make war on the Lamb and his priests, and will prevail, until all the priests are united in the First Resurrection as the great cloud of witnesses seen returning from the sky with the King of Kings. The last Roman Emperor, the final Beast, will be the genius of Hitler come back to life in another form. (If, by some chance, the EU should return to the monarchial system of government, who is in line for the Caesar? Guess. Answer: Prince Charles or his heir, William III -- the namesake of Kaiser Wilhelm. Charles has first claim over the old Habsburg empire, Russia too, as well as Great Britain. Could Charlie be the personification of the Beast? Or might the son the late Princess Di become the Beast? Think about that!) Germany in These Days
GERMANY IS THE DOMINANT EUROPEAN POWER FOR THE 21st
CENTURY:

heart of Europe, a position which gives it a natural leadership role
in shaping the affairs of the continent."
GERMANY WILL LEAD EUROPE: Daily Mail
-- "As the rest of Europe asks what 80 million Germans will do
with their power in the future, President Clinton seems confident he
knows that answer. It is brutally simple: the Germans will
'lead' Europe. If he puts America's weight behind concrete
proposals to upgrade Germany's role in the world, then serious
consequences could follow."

Germany inherited the imperial title of Rome, and, in recent years, has brought forth beasts like Nero the German, von Bismarck, Kaiser Wilhelm, Musolini and Adolf Hitler, and movements like Fascism and National Socialism that are still strong in the European and Arab worlds. It believes right-wing forces within its military could
undermine its role in international conflicts. Meanwhile,
German Chancellor Helmut Kohl warned France that it must get on
board with the rest of Europe or face a lesser role in NATO
affairs."
It's no secret that the German Army is full of Nazis now, just as the Roman legions were full of Germans then. And it's no surprise that the German Chancellor is bullying other countries with threats. The the Neo-national Socialist Movement is gaining ground by force and terrorism right now on the very verge of Germany's fourth reclaiming of the old Roman Empire. With nearly a century of World War behind us, and Germany's shame at two devastating defeats and divisions, we should learn that the shamed demonic mind seeks to shame, and vengeance yet remains. It seems unreal to this author that the Fourth Reich is quickly forming ranks right before our eyes and we do not see what is coming about. We may even meet the final Beast (the human couterpart, that is) in less than ten years. THE ROMAN EMPIRE WILL AGAIN BE FIRST: Giscard D'Estaing, President of France: "Europe will be a
bigger country than the U.S. soon. Despite the difficulties
and setbacks, the Common Market is moving steadily, inevitably
toward a unity of markets, productivity and currency. By the
year 2010, the entity that is Europe will be number one in the
world's economy. The U.S. will be second, China third and
Japan fourth."
But the European Union will be short-lived and end in war, just as it has the last two times, because it’s foundation is unstable, iron and clay. See what scripture says about the tone of the alliance. {16} And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. This has already happened in two world wars, as we have seen Europe and it’s demonic beasts turn upon themselves, for {17} God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. {14} These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: This is a hopeful fulfillment of the destiny of all humankind. including a blessing upon the people of Europe for all they have sufferred at the hands of two millennia of beasts. The Called, Chosen and Faithful {14b} and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. Finally we have the requirement for those who are on the
Lord's side in the whole matter. They are "called," they are
"chosen," and they are "faithful" in their
calling.
 In 1933, Hitler called together the
German Lutheran bishops. When the new order for churches in
Nazi Germany was read, the Bishops to
a man capitulated, and issued a
statement of unconditional support for
the Third Reich. All gave in;
that is, all but one. Bishop Niemoller protested vehemently
and he ended up in a concentration camp for standing up for the
truth. Before his trial, one of the church leaders saw him
behind bars and asked, Brother Martin, why are you in prison?"
Niemoller responded, "Friend, why are you not?" Only a few
friends of God who are called are also chosen, and fewer still are
faithful.It is the
work of Christ and his ordained ministers to reveal the faithful,
the called and chosen, to the world.
Now as beasts all over the world persecute and kill
our brothers and sisters, worse than in the days of Nero, Domitian
and Hitler, what are we, the called, doing to stem the tide?
We are doing
nothing. And all the prophecy
and private words and church services and manifestations of the
Spirit of God can't erase this startlingly obvious deficit.
